Moving to New Brunswick wasn't just a change of address. It was a pivot point, leaving behind a version of yourself and becoming someone new. The unknown of a new place, new community, new rhythms.
Unknown city, unknown job, unknown coworkers. The excitement and fear of the unknown I guess. The search for something familiar, Tim Horton's, Wendy's, Costco, Walmart. A starting point to get grounded.
Planting seeds, building roots. Friends, communities, colleagues, memories.
COVID changed all of that, I work still from New Brunswick but back home remotely now. Leaving that new piece of me behind, but the part that got left behind originally is not the same as when I left. Neither fully here nor there, what does that mean?
